Day Care

The Town of Newcomb and Newcomb Central School are considering a joint daycare, potentially opening September 2009.  If you are interested in sending a child, from 18 months to 3 years of age, or would like more information, please contact Skip Hults at Newcomb Central School, 582-3341.  We are investigating the demand, so we do need to hear from you.

Comprehensive Plan Survey

The Town of Newcomb Comprehensive Plan Executive Committee meets the third Thusday of each month in Town Hall. Future meetings will evaluate the input received at the recent Open Meeting at the Newcomb Central School.

Welcome...
To The Heart of the Adirondacks

NEWCOMB is known for many things, among them, the High Peaks, hiking in Santanoni Preserve, the Visitors Interpretive Center, Mt Adams and Goodnow Fire Towers and it's many other trails. We also have, hunting, horseback riding, wagon trips, mountain biking trails, canoeing, (rentals are available) fishing, camping, x-country skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, and sledding.

The Town of Newcomb also maintains and operates an ice skating rink with a heated skate shack, a small downhill ski slope with a ski tow, a wonderful sandy swimming beach (with a raft and a dock), and a boat launch all free of charge.

We have a vast beautiful outdoors to explore, the largest in Essex County. Come and see and enjoy what Newcomb has to offer.
